Extended Warrenty?

I'm looking at buying my first DSLR soon. As if deciding which camera to buy isn't hard enough, I've got to decide where to buy it! What are your opinions on extended warrenties? I've had poor service for my Best Buy extended warrenty on my Canon SD750 and pretty good service from Wolf Camera on previous cameras. How much does the manufacturer's warrenty cover for a Canon/Nikon DSLR? Also, if I buy online (say Amazon.com), is this even an option? Would it be best to just pay-per-problem at a repair center?

The thing about extended warranties are, they are money in the bank for camera companies. If this were an HDTV or a refrigerator, I'd suggest getting an extended service contract. But with cameras the standard warranty is one year parts, 90 days labor.... if it's going to fail, chances are it will fail in the first year. PLus, many credit card companies offer free extended warranties to their membes. American Express does this. So, as someone who used to make that extra commission on the E.W., I say pass on it.

As for as I know all the electronics products are one year warrenty!so I amnot know much about your Extended Warrenty.Maybe you could sign a contract with the seller!the question :where get the camera,may I know your decision??Do you have any good idea?/
Have you thought about buying something from online shop!!it is very interesting!!
