to be blunt, do not buy this camera. i wouldn't even think of it. you can get a low end to mid-range point and shoot from ANY major camera manufacturer for the same price. even on the ads on the side of the page that this SVP camera is on, there's a canon A480 for $167, and a cheap kodak for $141.
and i've never heard of a camera that comes with less than a 1 year manufacturer warranty. this SVT camera has only 6 months. that's not a good sign.
i work in a camera store and every camera around $175 (we only sell major brands) has the same, if not better specs. i would definitely recommend sticking to a known and trusted brand.
i think any point and shoot over $50 can take video, the majority of them also take SDHC cards (except for sony and some olympus cameras, as far as i know. some cameras that are even 1 year old can't take SDHC, but only SD). and i'm pretty sure that any big brand camera of similar cost wouldn't take worse pics than this SVT. maybe the same, but not worse.
i'm not trying to be a d**k, but in all honesty, i'm am 99% sure you would be happier with a canon, nikon, fuji, panasonic, kodak, polaroid, olympus, or samsung that cost around $175 than you would be with the SVT XthinnA. (i didn't mention sony because they only take memory stick cards).
