Ever happened to you?

You walk around with your camera one day and just pull it out and start shooting... get back home and plug it in... download all those beautiful pictures to your computer, go to sleep and crash your head against every wall in your way the next day when u notice it ain't workin no mo... like... real ****ed up!! god... wut a feelin.... like.. press the power button... right? lens come out (zzzzzz).. small green LED - on... LCD display - on... visual... none... wtf???.. take a closer look... the screen is lit up... ok so far... all menus work and are actually displayed... but the rest is all dark.... turn the cam away and point it to some light spot... same result.... what can it be?
I'm really unhappy about that... it was a good cam. I just hope i can do anything about it so that it can continue on being that way.

Have you tried to take a picture and downloaded to see if it's working? It may be successfully taking pictures and the problem is with the LCD display. What camera is it? How long have you had it? Is it still under warranty? Unfortunately, when compact digital cameras break, it's usually easiest to replace them. It costs more to fix them than it's worth - especially since they get outdated so quickly.

I did man... it's all black .... the lcd is fine... otherwise it wouldn't display all those menus i guess... ooh... No one ever heard of that label...
