minolta dimage z1 'soft spot' on images

Hello!

I am new to this and wondered if you can help?

I bought a minolta dimage z1 a few months ago and in the past week all the images have a kind of soft, blurred spot on them. Always in the same place?

Any thoughts?

If it's only been happening in the past week, I'd suspect a dirty lens.
Can you see anything on the front of the lens?
A finger mark maybe?
Or a spot left there from rain?

Funny story, I wore a yellow T-shirt to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and was THE favourite person for all the bugs A lot of photos were lost to small beetles crawling over the lens and the resulting dark splodge in the image

That was so obvious that it was painful......................how dozey am I!!
