Best Digital Camera for around $700

Anyone have any recommendations on what digital camera is one of the better ones to get up to $700.


Olympus C770 4mp (10x Optical zoom)
Olympus C765 4mp
Olympus C70 7mp ( 5x optical)

Canon Powershot A80
Canon Powershot S70 7mp (3.6x optical)


Anyone have any recommendations on the above models listed. I am writing this on behalf of a friend.



The olympus have a much higher otical zoom then the Canons listed.

Any advice on what to get out of these or any other models that are better?

Well, I don't know too much about those specific cameras, but I can tell you a few things that make cameras to be considered as 'good cameras':

* Changable Canon/Nikon lenses. I'm more a Canon guy, but they're both fine.
* Manual as well as automatic control.
* If the camera is black it makes you look like a real pro, thus more people will be impressed by your little digital toy
