Christmas Gift... Need Help!!

I need to figure out what I'm going to get my girlfriend for christmas and I think I'm gonna get her a digital camera.. I was thinking of getting the Canon PowerShot SD400.. I was wondering if anyone here had one and is it a good cam, or is there a better one I should consider.. She like the small thin cams and she likes taking pics of the family and will probably print various sizes.. So, to those of you who know, should I get this one or a different one.. I know she likes the Canon, she also likes the Sony Cybershot.. But i want to get her one that works good and produces good pics so thats why i am asking.. my price range is 500 - 600 dollars.. Thanks....

The Canon SD400 is a fine camera. Canon has been refining their pocket-sized digitals for a long time. The 5 megapixels of resolution will be fine for prints up to 11x14. I think Sony and Canon are both very good for out-of-the-camera image quality.

So go ahead. I don't think either one of you will be disappointed.
