    canon s410 question

    i just recieved my camera, and i noticed last nite that when i shake the camera, it sounds like something is loose in there. is this normal or did i recieve a defective model?

    You'd have to compare it to another camera. It doesn't seem like aything should be loose inside. But it may just be a little wire or something else that has some room to move. My G2 had something tiny rattling inside and it worked just fine.

    Sorry I can't reassure you more. There are two ways to deal with it. If it works ok, you can decide it doesn't matter and forget about it. Or, since it's brand new, you can return it for a new one and find ot if the next one does the same thing.

    My guess is that you are hearing the orientation sensor. My S400 does the same thing. Nothing to worry about.
