Canon IXY 800 IS US warranty?

I ordered a Canon SD 700 IS but received a IXY 800 IS from Broadway Photo (the bad reviews are true). It appears to be a Japanese grey market camera. It has the operators manual and a warranty card in the original box. Does anyone know whether this camera has a US warranty?

If it is gray market there will be no US warranty. I believe Canon will still repair it if you pay the cash. Nikon won't touch gray market for any amount of money.

We always say the very same thing over and over and over: go for the reputable dealer, not the lowest price.
