May I ask how fast is the shutter speed for the G9. Would I be able to take, like, wildlife photos with it?

For wild life photos, you really need to consider a DSLR or at the very least a good bridge camera if you want A P&S.

While I believe the G9 to be the best in its class, you will have a hard time with wildlife photos.
