Sony/Minolta - way more gear than talent.
I would love a NEX, but not as a replacement for my DSLR. It is tiny with excellent image quality. There are no buttons - everything is in the menu - and no through the lens viewfinder. It is a serious, but convenient piece of kit and there are compromises for that convenience. But then, you don't get very good images from a camera you don't have with you. – Terry

I agree with Terry. I haven't use the NEX but it looks like a great camera. You can get great results with either camera. With the NEX your trading control for size and weight. It just depends on what's more important to you.
