Canon 10D not shooting in auto focus mode?

Okay, This has never happened before. Out of the blue my camera will not focus or shot in Auto Focus mode. I switch over to manual focus and it works just fine. :mad2:
I don't know what the issue is, obviously or I would have fixed it.
Ideas?

oh and I've tried 1 different lenses, both Canon brand. if that makes a difference.

okay, i tried again today and it only had this problem with my 50 1.4mm. So STRANGE

I'd check the contacts as they may be a tad dirty. Clean them with a pencil eraser, then reset the camera and you should be back in the game.
