Question camera with digital backdrop feature

    Hello,
I am new to this forum and am hoping some of you experienced photographers can help me out.
I know that I can buy imaging software to give my photos a digital background. However, what I really would like is a camera that has that feature. I am taking numerous photos and basically need just a plain white background behind the subject.
Does anyone know if this is a feature available on a digital camera??? And also what would this feature be called if I was to shop for one with it available?
Thank you for any help you may have for me!

I've never seen this on a digital (still) camera, but then I've never looked for it. There is such a feature on my Canon digital video camera. Basically, you store some "backdrop" image file on the storage card, and shoot the video against a blue backdrop, and it will substitute the chosen image for the blue. I don't know why this could not be done with a digital still camera, also.

To do so you will need a Chroma Key Background to shoot against and it still has to be done in post processing in something like photoshop. No DSLR I am familure with will do this in camera. This is a technique best done in post processing.

This is for shooting catalogue photos or for products you want to sell on eBay, right? There's no magic way to do it. Some effort is required. The best way is to buy a small light tent and a couple of lights and shoot your product in the light tent. Then you can use Photoshop to blow out the background. It's not that hard, really. But it can't be done in-camera.

Well, it's not for eBay but it is for a website. I am taking photos of vehicles for a car dealership and putting them on their website. Rather than have the background of the car lot, I would like a white background.
But I think that doing each photo seperatly on photoshop would be way too time consuming, which is why I was really hoping that there was a camera with such a feature available.
Thanks so much to all of you for your help, and if anyone does know of a camera that has that feature, please let me know!

Ahhhhh, I see. You can't just stick a car in a light tent. There are special selection software tools that you can buy. They attempt to speed up the job of separating the car from the background so you can drop in a white background. I also remembered that Casio has some compact cameras that have an "eBay" mode. But I don't think it drops out the background. Thats's actually a very sophisticated software operation and I think it's gonna require some manual work.

The quickest way to do what you want to do with vehicles is still going to be with a Chroma Key Background. It is a very quick thing in PS when you use Chroma Key. A well lit, smooth Chroma Key Background can be a single mouse click to get rid of then you put your background layer behind the car and merger your layers.
