I am looking to buy a digital camera but have no idea. Can you tell which digital camera brands do you think are the best and why? Many thanks!

Name brands. Every brand has its pros and not-so-pro digital camera.
You should check out the two popular website (dpreview and stevescamera) for further review.

There's a top ten digital camera list on the PCPhotoREVIEW.com Home page. It's updated every day. For the past few weeks the Nikon D70 digital SLR has been at the the top of the list. Canon usually holds the most places on the list and Kodak and Olympus are often in it as well. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ10 has been on the list for quite a while.
