this might go in store feedback section if so im sorry, but its not feed back, most of you have told me they are good to deal with, but i was wondering about iteams out of stock, does anyone know if they usally get them in fast? or does it take awhile?

They're usually right on top of things. They're one of the top dealers with about the most buying power. So they should be first on the list for new products and anything that's out of stock. On the other hand, there are other good dealers and sometimes they'll have someing when B&H doesn't.

Seems like the whole world shops at B&H, so their backorder list can get very long. If what you're talking about is a new item in short supply, it might take awhile. In a case like this, you might try other excellent but less well known dealers. A local store advertised the Nikon D200 in stock on their sign in front of the building, but I don't know if B&H has ever had it on the shelf at this point (may not be the case anymore).

Best bet is to call B&H and ask how soon they think they'll be able to ship it to you - sometimes new items can only be estimated though...

My experience is that it depends on why the item is out of stock, how long it's been out of stock, and other things.

I've sometimes called their 800# and asked if they could give me any idea when the item will be in stock. Remember - it takes a day or so to update their website so you might find they already have it. Sometimes they know when it's coming in - it's worth a "shot" excuse the pun. B&H 800-606-6969 - follow the directions to the type of equipment you are looking for - and speak with a salesman. I think that's your best bet. Good luck.
