Lumix DMC FZ10, Did I kill it?

I went to download pictures from the aforementioned Lumix today, and wanted to run it off AC power to do it. I stupidly plugged it into the AC power supply for my slide scanner by mistake. It now is completely dead. I don't think the battery is bad, it seemed to charge normally.
Assuming the scanner's power supply zapped the Lumix, my questions are,

Do I send it back to Panasonic for repair?

Will repairs likely cost more than it's worth?

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated, I'm seriously bummed out.

the lumix is happy with up to nine volts.. if your scanner is twelve (mine is) u might might well have buggered it up.. your scanner might also have opposite polarity.. there is no standard with these little plugs.. some are centre positive some are the other way aound..

a friend of mine did something similar the other day a couple of leads around his computer one for his USB hard drive the other for his camera.. luckily his hard drive plug was about the same voltage and the correct polarity.. its something to watch out for and easy to do..

by normal standards it shouldnt be an expensive repair.. all u can do is contact panasonic and ask them.. hopefully they wont have some kind of fixed repair fee designed more to put folks off than do the repair..
