A75 Canon Powershot problem - blurry viewfinder, zoom not working

I have had an A75 for about two months. It's worked generally well until today.

It seemed to stop shooting while out on a shoot (I was also using an SLR with tripod as the main camera).

The lens won't retract all the way and close.
The viewfinder is blurry in the wide mode. When you zoom in, it's sharper.

The zoom lens control - it will zoom in but then it sticks and won't let you return to wide.
The shots it take are blurry as well.

I was taking photos in cold weather, so that may have been a factor. But hours later it still is having problems.

I don't recall dropping the camera. I did have it in a coat pocket next to some keys, but can't see how it may have gotten damaged.

The warranty is for one year. I'm considering taking it back to the Office Depot or Office Max and requesting a replacement.

Should I call Canon first to see what the problem is?

    What could be the problem?

Take in in if its under warranty. No one here can really diagnose hardware problems from a distance.
