1 gig SD cards?

I'm going to Europe for 3 weeks in September and was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about 1 gig SD cards. After checking out some digital cameras in person, and doing web research including reviews, I've decided on the Canon Powershot SD110 as my new camera, but I'm not sure if it can handle, or if they even make 1 gig smart digital cards. It would be nice for my trip so I'm not concerned with how many pics I take of whatever...

I don't know if this helps you out, but TigerDirect sells 1GB SD cards...and they price at about $340.00. I don't know anything about the camera, so I don't know if it will work for the camera.
