According the all the reviews I can find to read on the digi Rebel, they should be FAT12/16 and 32 compliant. I'm wondering if perhaps your new laptop runs windows nt, 2000 or xp, all of which are nt based operating systems, and usually utilize ntfs for their hard drives, and if so, perhaps the 4 gb drive was formatted using ntfs as well. Check the formatting on the 4 gb drive and see if it's formated with ntfs and not fat. just stretching here, I don't know if its possible for a removeable drive to be formatted for ntfs, but it should, since our external ikebana drive for backups on our server uses ntfs for its formatting.Originally Posted by Mathiau
