Erik,

The Olympus PEN E-PM2 is a relatively new camera. It has less bells and whistles than some of the other PEN cameras. However, it has excellent reviews. It has a rebate now which brings the cost to $399 most places. However, there is an Amazon 3rd party store "Product Fulfillment" which is selling it for $299 plus $5.95 shipping. They only have red left - and only one more in stock. They had a bunch a few days ago.

I checked the store out and they appear reputable. They are smaller, there are no complaints. I called to ask why the less expensive price, and they said in September and October they prepare for new stock and drop the price of their current stock. They have few cameras left at this time. I just purchased the XZ-2 for $329 which is a $200 savings.

One thing to note: their return policy is: for defective return 10 days. For returns because you don't like it you have 30 days - but for changing your mind, they charge 10% restocking (however, that only adds up to $30 so it might be worth it.

Read specs and user reviews here. They have black too if you can pay $399.
