Fuji just announced a less expensive X-Series digital rangefinder, the X-E1. I think the X-E1 may end up being more popular than the X-Pro1 since it has the same X-Trans sensor but it's smaller and costs about $700 less. They also announced two new lenses with the X-E1 - an 18-55mm f/2.8-4 zoom (the first zoom for the X-Series cameras) and a 14mm f/2.8 prime.

What do you guys think of the X-E1? I commented at the end of the article that I think I can live without the hybrid viewfinder. It's cool but not necessary - not for me, anyway. Does this look like a camera any of you will be buying? How do you think the Fujifilm X-Series cameras compare to the other mirrorless camera options?
