    E-M5 macro

I like the lightness of the OMD E-M5 and the 12-50 macro lens.
While it doesn't seem to be a 1:1 macro, it gets good results for a walk-around general purpose lens.
I wish it had a lens hood.

That's a very nice closeup photo, Paul. The bokeh is quite good. What focal length and aperture did you use? Does Olympus make a lens shade for the 12-50mm?

    Re: E-M5 macro

That was with the 100-300 at minimum distance, a sort of macro. 1/250 f/5.6

I checked the lens hood for the 12-50 and there is one, sort of.
On the Olympus website it says to use the Olympus - LH-55B

"The LH-55B is a square-cut lens hood developed specifically for the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9–18mm 1:4.0–5.6"

So on the 10-50 it's a little bit wider than needed and pretty useless at the long end.
I would have thought a petal lens hood would be better for general purpose.

Here's one with the 10-50, it is much harder for me to get good focus because I can't actually see if it's in focus or not on the screen.
Nice bokeh but at f/7.1 not enough DoF.
Astonishing there's no motion blur at 1/125 (it was a grey day) maybe I could have stopped down a bit more.
