Yes, the IQ was one BIG reason. I love the clean, crisp images I get right out of the camera without any post processing (for the most part). Other reasons include the incredible 3" LCD screen - the only one I've used that you can see details in bright sunlight. Also, the menu, buttons, etc. are easier to manipulate, the automatic lens closing, the built-in ND which helps immensely when shooting in bright sunlight - I get blue skies on very bright days. One of the biggest reasons is the way it "feels" and the portability. I never enjoyed using a p&s like I do this one.Originally Posted by jgredline
I did find a like-new used S3 including the Lensmate adaptor for a very low price which covers the long zoom. However, I almost never use it.
