Top Industry Corporations to Showcase New Products and Services at PhotoImaging & Design Expo
Photo trade show to spotlight top products and new technologies

San Diego, CA (January 31, 2005) – All eyes will be on the PhotoImaging & Design Expo, the photo industry's most talked about trade show, this April 19-21 at the San Diego Convention Center as hundreds of companies showcase the industry's most innovative and advanced product lines. The photoimaging industry has grown substantially over the last decade as new advancements have been introduced that not only allow a photographer or imager to capture an image, but to also control and manipulate the final finished output.

"Professional photographers have amazing new technologies available in terms of hardware, software and output equipment," says Cygnus Imaging Group Publisher Kathy Schneider. "Each year offers new and exciting opportunities and PhotoImaging & Design Expo will be at the center of facilitating new launches, testing and use."

Nikon, the world leader in precision optics, 35mm, and digital imaging technology will be exhibiting at the Expo, showcasing a wide array of equipment and new products. Nikon is widely recognized worldwide for setting new standards in product design and performance with its award-winning consumer and professional photographic equipment. Canon USA, also an exhibitor claims to raise analog and digital imaging standards spanning professional product sophistication to point-and-shoot simplicity, image capture to output, and photo to video. Both Nikon and Canon have placed in the coveted top spots for best digital camera in Photo Trade News' Top Products of the Year. The disclosure last year by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) that digital cameras have finally surpassed DVD players as the top "planned gift" for the 2004 holiday season, has revitalized the industry and Expo attendees are looking forward to the next generation of professional digital cameras.

Also scheduled to exhibit is Fuji Photo Film USA. Recognized for its technological innovation and high quality, Fuji Photo Film USA offers a complete portfolio of professional imaging products, services, and solutions ranging from film, conventional and digital cameras to digital minilabs, kiosks, workflow software, and professional photographic paper.

"We expect the PhotoImaging & Design exhibit floor to be the most important location for professional photographers and imagers in 2005," says Group Vice President Tom Pellet. "Key to doing any job successfully is having the right tools. Any product that can enhance or expand an imager's business will be here."

Tamron, manufacturer of high-quality lenses for professional and consumer use on both film and digital cameras will be showcasing their successful products as well as Epson America, a company known for its extensive array of award-winning image capture and image output products for the consumer, business, photography, and graphic arts markets.

Other exhibitors include Albums, Inc. known for its custom and ready-made framing and matting, supplies, mounts, and equipment and Art Leather, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of wedding albums and folios.

Technology companies like Lexar, a leading marketer and manufacturer of award-winning, removable, flash-based digital storage media, USB flash drives, card readers, and ATA controller solutions for the digital photography, consumer electronics, industrial, and communications markets and Pictage, the complete online system for marketing and printing professional images for thousands of elite professional photographers nationwide will also be an important segment of the exhibitor floor.

The PhotoImaging & Design Expo will be held April 19-21, 2005, at the San Diego Convention Center. An all-inclusive three-day package provides access to seminars, live shoots, and the exhibit hall, as well as entrance into networking events including a cocktail reception on opening day and lunch on the trade show floor on closing day.
