Chasseurs d'Images May 2005 has a piece on the D70s and the D50, taken from the instruction manuals that appeared on Internet. The official date when the press is allowed to talk about the cameras is 20th April.
D70s: very similar to the D70. New plug for remote shutter release, larger LCD on the back.
D50: New (smaller) body, 18-55AF-S kens (without possibility to retouch focus on-the-fly), new 420-pixel sensor for lightmeter (instead of 1005-pixel), SD card rather than CF card, no LCD grill on the focussing screen, just the rear control thumbwheel. The rest is similar to the D70 (i-TTL flash etc).
It looks like the sensor will be the 6Mpix Sony (10Mpix CMOS in a higher-end body rumoured for fall). The only real question is whether Nikon will use an updated processor in the D50 and D70s and improve the image quality over the D70.
Chasseurs d'Images received their Fuji Finepix F10 to test on the morning of going to press. This point-and-shoot benefits from some of the technology in the Fuji S3 which allows it to go to 1600 ISO (I'm extremely impatient to buy one). CdI did a first test for noise at 80-1600 ISO and the figures were better than the Canon 300D and the Nikon D70..
