KODAK One Galleries Open in New York and San Francisco During the Month of November

NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 1 — Eastman Kodak Company today opened hands-on digital photography galleries in New York (102 Wooster St.) and San Francisco (1823 Union St.), showcasing the new EASYSHARE-ONE zoom digital camera — the world’s first Wi-Fi consumer digital camera. The One Galleries are open November 1 through November 27 for people to experience and celebrate Kodak’s innovative approach to digital photography, as well as the work of some of the world’s leading professional photographers.

Three provocative photography exhibits are central to the One Gallery experience, including:A series of master classes with professional photographers including Helene DeLillo, Liz Gilbert, June Harrison, Frederic Lagrange, Jock McDonald, Damaso Reyes, Chris Rainier, Jon Smith, Joyce Tenneson, Jonathan Torgovnik and others, as well as informative technology workshops led by Kodak digital experts, will be offered free of charge in the One Galleries throughout the month. Covering a broad range of topics from wireless picture sharing to artistic composition to digital photo organization, these unique learning opportunities have been designed to broaden the horizons of people at all levels of photographic prowess — from beginner to pro.

Drawing from the photographers’ diverse portfolios, Kodak has created installations that celebrate the unique and quirky spirit of life.
- One City exhibits shot with KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE wireless digital cameras, featuring three up-and-coming professional photographers from New York (Amy Postle, Ken Rowe and Carri Villines) and San Francisco (Dunja Dumanski, Jules Greenberg and Natascha Unkart) who captured the diversity of their home cities. Guests at the One Galleries can experience the city through the photographers’ eyes as they view dynamic vignettes compiled from their work.
- A One Gallery-wide retrospective showcasing the power of photography in everyday life.
To celebrate the opening of the One Galleries, a variety of exclusive promotions will be available throughout the month of November. For example, helping bring memories into the digital age, Kodak is offering a one-of-a-kind scanning service for all guests who purchase a KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery Premier Service account. Visitors can bring in up to 250 printed photos* and Kodak innovation will help unleash their digital possibilities. The images will be scanned in moments, uploaded to a personalized KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery Premier account and placed onto a KODAK Picture DVD. Additionally, visitors to the One Galleries can register for daily giveaways to win exciting new KODAK EASYSHARE products.
