D2H alternative

Is there any likelyhood or rumor for the launch of a pro/semi pro DSLR alternative to the Nikon D2H ? Eric

The D2X should be out in a couple of months. Price hasn't been officially announced but it'll probably be at least twice as much as the current D2H price. I'm sure at some point the D100 will be replaced but nothing official yet. Fuji just released their S3 as well. Depends on what you're using it for though - the D2H and S3 are very different cameras.

I haven't heard anything about a replacement for the D2H which is solidly targeted at sports photographers.

The D2X should appear any time now. Normally it has 12MPix but it can be used with just the central part of the sensor at 6MPix (wich should please sports & news photographers).

The Semi-pro camera you're looking for is the D100 replacement which should be similar to the Canon 20D and is expected to be announced at the PMA in February.

Yes, more specifically I´m thinking a D100 replacement. The D2H and D2X are technically beyond my requirements (and my wallet!) . Eric
