AMPLIFY LAUNCHES FIRST-OF-ITS KIND
COMPANION TOOLBAR AND ONLINE COMMUNITY
New and Easy Way to Find, Collect, Save and Share on the Web
New York, NY-June 28, 2004 - Amplify (www.amplify.com), an innovative software company committed to giving people greater control of their online experience, today announced a new companion toolbar and Web community. The companion toolbar offers Web users a simple way to find, collect, save and share online content in ways never before possible.
Collecting and managing the overwhelming amount of information found on the Web is a near impossible task for consumers and professionals alike. Adding more confusion are difficult-to-use applications that focus on solving one need but not another. People are looking for new and easy ways to organize and share information with family, friends and colleagues. With the Amplify companion toolbar, anyone can easily find and collect different pieces of content from any number of Web sites in personalized pages called Amps. Amps can be saved as Web-based multi-source bookmarks and shared with anyone as a single link. Additionally, Amplify users have the option to showcase their favorite Amps to a wider audience through the Amplify Community, a Blog for Amp sharing, search and discussion.
Amps can include various types of online content such as pictures, text, audio, video and flash animation and are useful for a range of personal and professional uses. Examples of personal use include comparing products from different online merchants side-by-side, creating collages of favorite photos, keeping an eye on multiple stock charts or gathering medical information from different sources. In a professional environment, Amps can be used to quickly and efficiently aggregate important online data, collaborate on projects, deliver timely research and share information using its one-to-many real-time communication capabilities with colleagues, clients and vendors.
"More and more people want to improve their online experience by taking control of what often feels like information overload," said Eric Goldstein, CEO of Amplify. "Amplify is passionate about empowering Internet users to enhance their ability to view, organize and share information found online. The Web is ready to get Amp'd and we are excited to see how the unique features of Amplify are utilized to harness the power of the Web."
Amplify Companion Toolbar
In addition to offering a pop-up blocker, Amplify Community link, and one-click access to saved Amps, the companion toolbar empowers Web users to:

Collect: By simply pointing and clicking, collect up to 25 different pieces of content - pictures, text, flash, audio, video - into a single page called an Amp.
Save: Amps can be saved and accessed from the "My Amps" list on the companion toolbar or by visiting www.amplify.com.
Share: Amps can be shared as a single link with anyone, whether or not they have Amplify installed, via email, instant messaging, Blogs, message boards, chat rooms or on the Amplify community.
