The Choice Awards are based on the user reviews posted by the PhotographyREVIEW.com community members. The Choice Awards are special because they're essentially given by photographers who actually own and use the winning digital cameras, film cameras, and lenses regularly. For the first time, I've also included "Photo-John's Picks" - digital cameras and other photo-related products that I thought stood out in 2006.

The Choice Awards are one more reason why photographers should post reviews for all their equipment on PhotographyREVIEW.com. And camera dealers and manufacturers should encourage their customers to post reviews, too. The more reviews there are, the more photo equipment categories we can cover and the more relevant the awards will be.
