    Question Urgency emergency

Hi there all. Im just a newbie but i was so relieved to have found you all today after the countless horrible experiences i have had attempting to purchase a camera.
I just wanted to clarify something:
hotbuyselectronics.com good or bad? cos the prices are right me being a student traveller

i need to purchase a camera tommorow morning if not sooner before i leave canada- or i have to receive it in San Fran before thursday. But i am hating on every "dealer" i have dealt with so far. CC in particular who were abhorrently rude to me before i had even bought anything!! I couldnt believe the service i received and was in shock that this was tolerated in companies. may vent this later in another thread.needless to say- dont go there!

Also, everyone seems to agree that B and H is good? is this correct?DO they ship to Canada?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

B&H is OK, but I just bought a camera and lenses from BUYDIG.com and couldn't be happier with the process. They have great reviews on all the consumer review sites. Best of all their prices are very low on the cameras and comparible on lenses and accessories to other reputable online stores.

Dominica if you are buying a digital camera and want to have service here in Australia then you should buy it here in Australia. If you are travelling and purchase a product over $300 before leaving Austalia within 30 days of travel you can claim the GST back on the purchase.

If you aren't an aussie and are returning back overseas then you need to know the warranty of the country you live in (but I suspect you are an aussie).

B&H are excellent and they do deliver to Canada, but they don't like delivering anywhere other than the address of the credit card holder, so that might stump you there. Most good companies are the same as well, for your own protection.

If I were you I would certainly rather not buy from BH Photo Video (see my experience in the recent topic "Poor behaviour from Nikon and BH Photo Video").

If you prefer to buy from one of the "big" sellers, from my experience Adorama are much better. Customer service in particular is a completetely different story than when you deal with the one from BH Photo Video, which is both unefficient and unfriendly ...

I apologize to everyone for the multiple postings done by error.

I am not yet familiar with the system and misunderstood a message about my posting being too short when I checked.
