Does anyone know where can I get a silverfast ai for my kodak, at a lower price?
Software isn't supposed to be resold or 'refurbished'. An older/previous to the current version might be available for a clearance price somewhere via the Web or a shop that is moving out merchandise.
Currently there are several new versions of the product with ranges of features. There are also version differences between scanners. Prices directly from the manufacturer range from about $50USD to $400USD dollars for most non-industrial scanners.
Silverfast may be offered with a scanner as part of the package. Some included software is a reduced feature version (SE version), or has automatic settings for options like noise reduction or dust elimination.
If you find a bargain version, verify that it will work with the hardware you have as that software version may not be supported by either your OS release or the scanner/input device TWAIN driver.
