    Angry thecameraprofessionals.com

:mad5: I found this forum after a bad experience. I need to add to the list of bad dealers. I tried to order a camcorder package (Canon HV30) on the telephone (Joe) at the cameraprofessionals.com. Turned out to be a total bait and switch operation with high pressure sales on upgrades and warranties etc. The package started out at $768, but quickly grew to $1,888.99. Everything required an upgrade. The advertised lenses were plastic etc. The upgrade to glass was $180, but turned out to be 3 at $180 apiece. Everything happened so quick my head was spinning. I called back in 5 minutes to cancel the entire order and was told there was a 10% cancel fee. Then the pressure threats really started. I could go on and on with the details. I was outraged and finally had to state that I would take him to court if he tried to charge a cancellation fee. At one point he tried to say he'd give me the package for $400 less, but I said "Please cancel the order and this conversation is finished". At this point I hung up. Guess I'll stick to Grandpa's advice. :mad2: :blush2:
