    Feedback?

Never heard of either of them. What's their feedback like? Personally, I don't trust any of the dealers on ebay. I go there looking for used stuff and now it's all full of dealers I've never heard of selling stuff for prices that don't even look good to me.

By the way, I drive through Brownsville on my way to Downieville all the time in the summer.

This is my first time using this site and I'm trying to find my way around, how does one check the feedback on a company. You mention that prices that dont look good to you, both these companies offer a Canon EOS 20D with a image stabilazer lens, 75-300 lens, a wide angle lens, a hard case, a soft case, a tripod, lens filters, 1 gig card and cleaning kit all for $2000.00 this to me is to good to be true.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Downieville is a beautiful place we go there quite often.

    Re: New Cameras on E-bay

I brought my first real camera from sunshine electronics in Jan. 2006.
They were fine by me. There shipping was awesome. However I would only consider buying there package deals as there single items are a bit pricy and not even there standard price are noted on there web site.... You must call the company directly to find out there exact price and to purchase your order. That part seems a little suspect to me. Other than that I must say I was pleased with my 350D camera kit and price.

I bought my 20D package from Sunshine Electronics about a month ago. The transaction went smooth and I received everything in a timely manner.

They are also bonded so you can feel safe buying with them.

They also offer a 4 year extended warranty on the camera for 250.00, not too shabby.

To everyone that bought a camera from this vendor. Was it actually a USA product? I know it says USA on a lot of the ebay adds. But a friend of mine purchased one off e-bay (not from this vendor) and it wasn't a USA product even though the add said it was. He's fighting with the company now and probably won't get his money back. But it just makes me think. I'm looking at their Nikon D50 combo's.

if you're going to buy something on ebay new, i would check out cametaauctions. I have purchased from them several times, and nothing but good experiences. Full warranties, brand new in box, they're a good store.

    Re: New Cameras on E-bay

Here's a tip for buying on ebay.

Get an American Express card, and only pay by paypal or another site that accepts AMX, Do not pay cash/Western Union or banktransfer.

AMX when asked will immediately stop payment and remove it from the paypal. That's when paypal will help you. I bought a camera from a vendor and it wasn't what they claimed it to be, 5 emails and no response, but one call to AMX and I got an email within an hour. AMX also insures everything that you buy from them, check it out.

I do not work for them, but I will not buy anything off the internet without using them, they stand by the customer first. Worth the money, no matter which card you get.

    My tip....

    Re: New Cameras on E-bay

I've been researching ebay sellers extensively the last week in my quest for a d80.
The ebay stores that have the us model and warranty are cameta, panwebi, audio/video express, the imaging world, cord, and complete photo.
The rest of the stores offer store warranties and their cameras do not come with manufacturer warranty. Not for nikon anyway.
If you don't live in the usa, I guess that's not a problem.

I bought a lens from cameta and realized I bidded on the wrong one. I won the auction, but I called them and told them that I bid on the wrong lens, they let me get the lens I wanted for the auction price. Great customer service.

yeah, they're a great company. They offer products at fairly good prices as well. I just wish they were more than an ebay company.

    Re: New Cameras on E-bay

I got my d80 from completephotohouse and am pleased. When ups said my package would be delayed after I paid for 3 day select I emailed them and had a response withing minutes saying they would call ups and see if it could be delivered on time and if not I would get a refund for the shipping.
They must have bent some elbows because all of a sudden the package was on time.
I only chose completephotohouse because they offered the d800 with the nikon 18-135 which cameta wasn't offering at the time.
I think they are both good.
