    Before you buy online

Recently bought a camera online and had a horrible experience. USAphotonation.com. In the process of getting information, and I guess the need to prove to myself I wasn't an idiot- I thought I'd done enough research!, I found this information. It's definitely worth your time to go through their site. Notice the "online reviews" portion. I have this site bookmarked to favorites now!

" Sheddingsomelight.com is a small exercise in understanding. We decided to look at some topics that have come to our attention, gathering enough information to help explain them using only the public resources that all literate citizens have at their disposal. It also turns out to be a collaboration with dozens of other individuals and companies who have assembled some of the bits and pieces and made them available in magazines or newspapers or online."

They also got great clips of phone calls from usa photo nation, I found shedding light from them.

    Re: Before you buy online

Basic things to look for at a potential webstore: About Us w/reputable web stores physical address, how long has the store been in business, who owns the business 1800#'s, Fax #,
local#, form of accepted payments says alot, also what official merchant endorsements, certificates are displayed. Return policy for damaged product will be reasonable and fair. Form of confirmation after placing the order will be explained, some stores confirm by telephone and then email you tracking information. Options for shipment, free shipping or the mere actual cost of shipping is a good sign. Reputable store have signs about no grey box products, refurbished or new, information about warranty and receipt handling. Lots of information as opposed to a quick template kind of venture, and literacy tells about who u r dealing w/ plenty of free, editing, spell chk tools around. lolol
