Wow, walk with caution here! I don't know what’s going on with these people but something smells really fishy.

I recently placed an order with them for a new video camera, received an order confirmation and shipment date. The next day, I received a short cancellation email. Without reason, they simply cancelled the order. After closer review, I discovered they did the same thing to me a year ago (I guess I had forgotten). I then looked into my American Express billing and learned that one week after my last year’s cancellation, my card began unauthorized activity and I had to cancel the card.

It then occurred to me, what I believe is happening. Beachcamera.com is posting the lowest prices on CNET shopper to attract customers, even though they do not have the inventory. Once you place your order and charge card info, they send you an order cancellation, to avoid fraud charges.

They now have your personal information and may sell it or use it without your authorization.

I believe this is a scam and would steer far from Beachcamera.com
