    You In action
I don't know about everyone else on here, but I think it's great when someone gets a shot of me taking a shot. Here is one from a wedding I did not to long ago that my second photographer captured. It's good.

What photographs do you have of yourself in action?

I have two a friend recently took.

The first one is on a hike on Mt. Rainier and the second is of me shooting my football team.

I don't have many of me in action, just a few old ones from Jerez ... and an ancient one from Sydney.

    SW,

I noticed that you have the lens mount upside down on one and sideways on the other. Any reason for that other then getting it out of the way but still having it connected?

    Just asking....

Too lazy to take it off, too worried about losing it, but don't like it cutting into my hand :)
Not sure why it's sideways on the 20D and vertical on the 1D.

A picture of me in Auschwitz last year, taken by a friend. It was a grey and drizzly day as befits a place such as that. And the picture I was taking at the time.

    Cheers

I know there are photos of me working "somewhere", but the the one I really want to find is the one where the NAMARS midget is above me and all you can see of me is my legs

We as photographers seem to never be in front of the camera. However here are a couple of me with a camera in my hand. The first is from 1969 on the sidelines at a football game and the second from a couple of months ago at my grandsons birthday party.

Ooh this is great! I just put together a set on flickr of my pictures of other people in action, but my friends also have some of me in action. Here's a couple from Thanksgiving weekend in Zion National Park.

I think the way this thread has taken off, it needs to be sticky'ed. I thought when I posted this that I would be the only one to post, WOW. I'm so very very impressed at the response and the amount of awesome situations that we as photographers get in, this is just one testimonial of it.

Chris you might want to take a look at this thread from a couple of years ago. Some real golden oldies. Too bad some of the pics are missing now but that happens with older threads.

I was so thrilled when you posted this, because I've been wanting to see this specific topic for a long time.

I don't usually have anyone photograph me while shooting - I shoot alone - even if I start out with other people, they usually move on (I shoot too long, shoot too slow, or it's too cold/hot outside :p ).

Found these that my wife took.

    #1) during Ohio's record-breaking blizzard last winter
    #2) tree-climbing demonstration (I'm in the foreground)
    #3) photographing migrating spring warblers

My shot from #2 is in the B&W thread.
