    Stupid flower shot...

Easter Sunday was rather uneventful, so I shot pics of flowers. Girlfriend's mom gardens and wants pictures of her crop for her album. Background is my favorite dirt-cheap accessory: poster board. Lighting was provided by a big window behind me, this was taken on their kitchen table. Once it gets warmer out (and STAYS there) these are going in the ground outside of their home.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

It's not stupid. It's a very pretty shot. Not quite as gorgeous as my favorite Rose shot, but still nicely done.

Hmmm, I didn't know flowers were stupid. Brainless maybe, but stupid?

    ;-)

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Nicely done. Sharp where it should be, with the background leaves out of focus. Very nice. Of course, we EXPECT this kind of quality from you.

What i like beside the fact that it is a good image, is that you take some time to set up. The black board and natural lighting made a very clean, simple effective shot. It's a shame about this flower being stupid. . .It's usually difficult to find the complete package of brains and beauty ;)

    Seb,

Nice photograph! I'm jealous that several people beat me to the obvious retorts to your title and that you had such a good subject. I spent Easter out flat with the flu so I missed one of my favorite photo days (Easter bonnets, impending Spring, etal).

Perhaps this I.Q. challenged model will 'pose' again for you in its new 'digs'.

    Happy Spring

You know, my favorite part about this whole thread is how far people are taking the "Stupid Flower" thing.

Yeah, it's the little things that matter. A 60 cent piece of poster board can make a big difference, wether it's for this backdrop or a white piece use as a quick and dirty reflector.

    Re: Stupid flower shot...

Do you know the name of that stupid flower? A friend of mine was looking for the name of a flower that matched that description.

Although she didn't mention it as being particularly stupid, maybe that tidbit would have helped in her search. ;)
