I'm a dog person
and like to let my dog loose, but it gets complicated on ocations, specially when a 60lbs, drooling, loosing hair, smelly dog comes to sniff my 15lbs dog

the owner calls but the dog is badly trained and ignores them

when I pick up my dog the owner then the shouts "it's harmless"

then "hey don't kick it" after the dog stands -almost as tall as me - on it's hind legs to try and continue to get acquainted with my dog

why do you live with that? Call the cops.

I have the worst of both. An 80lb pit bull and a hyper active 17lb chihuahua mutt that thinks the world is there for him to pee on. I am a terror on all fronts.

Dogs won't molest you, if they fear or respect you. Give them eye contact, position your shoulders in a confrontational way. Dog's will "molest" you when they think you're a toy, when they think that you are their superior, the alpha, they will not bother you. Parks are a place where dog's should run free. And if someone happens to dislike dogs, they can avoid going to the park! :D

HA! There are signs to keep the dogs on leashes for good reason. I am not obligated to be a dog's alpha just for my peace of mind.

My little guy looks like he is on steroids. He is some sort of Chi terrier mix. He can run forever on bike rides. He has put down 12mile rides without missing a beat.

Don, you need to get a water gun that looks like a pistol and have it full of lemon juice. Ha!

Actually, terrible. You know what offends me way more than any loose domesticated animals? Loose geese. Those things poop everywhere and make a huge mess. And you know what else? Loose deer. Those things are really dangerous.

A loose dog is annoying, nothing more. I'm sure that complaining on the internet will be more effective than talking to the dog owners.

It was an emotional outburst, not a political movement.

And that is why I carry a large can of pepper spray and an even larger Glock. I am the Alpha unless I am left alone. Keep your four legged PEST away from me and we'll all get along.
