    XTi is in!!

I fit right into this camera because it isn't much different than the original digital rebel in terms of its interface. Now all I have to do is go out and shoot a few pictures. Will post some for you later.

    Congrats! B&H rocks!

You can change your signature now Looking forward to seeing new work! Don't forget, 10MP files are much larger than 6MP files. Your CF card will seem a tad smaller and your computer will feel a tad slower. Minor....minor stuff.

    Re: XTi is in!!

Here's my first image from the XTi, which should really be taken in the morning and not mid-afternoon like I did today. This is Mt. San Gorgonio and the Pass between it and Mt. San Jacinto. The foreground is what remains of the hills after the Esperanza fire last year. Normally this time of year Mt. San Gorgonio has much more snow than this. Kind of a hazy day today. Had I been lower in elevation it would look even more hazy.

I shot this in raw then decided to apply Landscape mode in the raw image editor. Interestingly enough, the colors turned out more saturated than without it. Quite a few new features, it seems, that I'm gonna have to become familiar with.

Oh, lens was Sigma 28-80mm + Hoya circular polarizer.
