Howdy everyone!
I've been working on this detroit muscle car Restoration Project on/off for 11 years.
A 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT 429 CJ Nicknamed by my friends "THE BEAST" I call it a money pit. I'll post some pics here, update as I make progress.
In 2008 this car ran at Sacramento Raceway on a 100 degree day with a best E.T of 12.47 sec. @ 118 mph in the 1/4 mile. That's on street tires, thru the mufflers. 429 cubic inches (7.0L) Dyno'd at 458 horses(5500rpm) and 570 Ft/lbs. torque (3200 rpm)
Now that all the drivetrain is done...the HARD part is next...
The body is rust free...but, every square inch of this car has dents.:mad2: BODYWORK... It's a real struggle.sometimes I feel like giving up...maybe this will help. Go for a drive. LOL
