    wild fox- sad.

About 3 nights ago I saw several eyes glowing in the dark 3 drives down just as I was going to turn into my drive. I went on down to see 3-4 fox, I think a mother & kits.
This morning , going for b'fast, something cought my eye in the corner of my lot.
1 of the kits had been struck by a car. Though it was still alive, I don't think it will make it.
DNR is coming to pick it up.
I hate the circumstances, but I do feel priveledged to have held such a creature in my hands.

Oh goodness. Will you be able to find out if the fox made it out of it OK?

Seriously, I love animals. I'm not PETA crazy or anything, but I love animals for everything they are and are not. I don't get it when people say "I hate rats" or "I hate gophers". recently my neighbor bought a Have-A-Heart trap to catch a skunk that had been diggin up the lawn (if you don't want a skunk digging up your lawn, get rid of the grubs!). Well, he sucessfully caught the skunk. Then he proceeded to leave it in the trap for three days in the hopes of starving it to death! Ummm. There's a reason why it's called a Have-A-Heart trap

So, my other neighbor -- a very large tough guy -- came over to my house and said, "We're rescuing the skunk!" We went into the guys yard, grabbed the trap, drove to a wooded area down the street and let it go

thanks for posting. the reason i don't think it will make it is that I think it's spine was injured. I also love animals, and have had dogs always while growing up, but now I have enough time for fish and thats about it.
It was terrible to find this, but I'm pretty sure there are 2 more young ones out there.

Very sad, yet unfortunately it's a fact of life! Nice of you to help it,
