Interesting when viewing the site, all the graphics don't show up.

Also the International shipping is appallingly high. I looked at getting a BP-511 Battery for the 10D, cost is $28 for the battery and $45 for shipping and hanlding, and that is snail mail pace as well, 14 days.

I would be very hesitant to order from this crowd without checking out their ratings on bizrate.com first. Still a very good price to get to here without the postage. $1,274 inc GST but not including the postage on it.

I have ordered from there and here in the states overstock.com is known as a pretty reputable place, sometimes you have to watch because they do sell some stuff refurbished but they tell you upfront.

Hey Liz, I got that rebate too - it's a manufacturer's rebate! Actually, I sent it in, but did not get it yet. hmm. I bought mine at the end of september from best buy for $999 with the $100 rebate. When shopping for prices, I really don't count the rebates in the price if they are manufaturer's rebates since you can generally get those online at

Whoo hoo! Just checked the status of my rebate and it's being processed - I should recieve it in the next 6 months or so! lol

    Good Retailer
Overstock.com is a very reputable online retailer here in the US. They have lots of good stuff and their prices are great. I'm not sure that I'd buy camera equipment from them, though. While their prices are good, as Liz pointed out, B&H is actually better. B&H is one of the largest camera buyers in the world, so their prices will always be among the best. We should all check the dealers on this site before buying elsewhere. Not only does using PhotographyREVIEW.com / PCPhotoREVIEW.com partners support the site, but partners like B&H, Adorama, Canoga Camera, etc., are very trustworthy, and have the best pricing available. If you find better prices than our main dealers, be suspicious.

Just for the record - and I hope you all are reading this -

Whenever I'm going to buy any camera gear - new or used - from B&H or Adorama I start here at photographyreview.com and go through the links to their sites. I know then that way that I am helping out photographyreview financially in possibly the only way I can.

I hope everyone adopts this habit so we can help keep our favorite internet address alive and well :)

    Suck up!!
Heh. It is a good practice though. My problem is impulse buying - I'll be browsing along at B&H with no intention of buying anything (and therefore I didn't go through here) and then....bam! Followed by "Oh crap..PR!"

But I'm currently considering selling my 70-200 f4 and getting the Tokina 28-70 f2.8, so I'll keep reminding myself to go through here.

I have the Tokina 28-70/2.8 and love the thing, great hunk of glass. I just waiting for it to get back from THK after being damaged by the TSA goons at Miami airport.

Cool! Good to hear - about the quality, not the goons. Bad goons!

Right now I have a 12-24 and then the 70-200 with nothing inbetween. I would love the Canon 28-70 f2.8L, but you know, saving for other things right now. I like the 70-200, but I hardly ever use it, plus I've got a 105mm macro so I can always use that if I need more reach.
