Where in the world... again...
I'm taking a break in editing the 1300-some-odd photos, culled down from 4000+, we
took during our recent vacation, to play the "Where in the world..." game once again.
So... where in the world am [was] I? ...and what are these landmarks?
I'm sure you'll guess...

Re: Where in the world... again...
I'm guessing the top one is the Panama Canal, b/c of the very unique tracks that run beside the locks there. But that's all I've got...
Re: Where in the world... again...
I think the last one is Dubai but don't know about the others

Oh, no... no... no... The hint was: These are all from the same port of call, taken the same day, and all within 50 miles of one another. Personally, I don't think I would recognize most cities by a skyline, but once you know where the first two are, this city follows...
Re: Where in the world... again...
Definitely the Panama Canal lighthouse. The Bridge of the Americas. And Panama City?
It's been a long time since I was through there - Panama City didn't have much by way of skyscrapers then.
Cheers

Re: Where in the world... again...
You got it!
The lighthouse is, specifically, at Gatun Lock of the canal, at the Atlantic (or Carribbean, really) end. The Bridge of the Americas crosses the canal at the Pacific end. This view is looking toward the ocean harbor. And (the real) Panama City is the only city this large you can see from the canal. And--as we learned during the cruise--it is the only Central American capital city that sits on an ocean.
Hope to have all the cruise photos posted soon...
