    Re: What are you getting...

I'm getting a sore back. 5"-6" of snow coming this weekend. I love the snow, but my back doesn't! I really didn't ask for anything for Christmas this year. Some more time for my prepaid cell phone and some clothes is about it. I did ask for a 600mm f/4 lens, but like the last couple of years, I won't be surprised if I don't get it.

Absolutely! Just be sure to stop by with some of that amazing looking Barbeque you've done!

Frog, I think you're not alone on that one! :blush2:

I did get myself a little something - a friend sold me his D200 and battery pack. Just don't tell Aaron, Paul and Brian...

    Re: What are you getting...

    Nice fun thread.

I'm getting a Bluetooth for my cellphone and a few little surprises.

Since I still have a little money left over from selling my heavier lenses, I bought myself a Christmas present this year  - the new Canon 18-55IS. It won't compare with my favorite (now sold) 17-40L but it is very light weight - and it does have some good reviews and I've seen some really nice images. For $175 at B&H not a bad deal.

    Re: What are you getting...

My 3 year old son has been trying to get me to open the helicopter he picked out. I've been hinting that one of those little electric r/c helicopters look like a lot of fun. I also tried to explain to him that it's supposed to be a secret but every night he tries to get me to open it. He's mighty proud to have picked it out all by his self!!

I've also hinted that a big white lens or two would be welcome but doubt that I see one.

Like Mike, I'm probably going to have a sore back as we're expected to get 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice after heavy rains, then 2-8inches of snow with winds 20mph possibly up to 40mph with near blizzard conditions. Yay!

If I don't get the chance to post again before Christmas, hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

I am getting a pair of remote flash triggers and an L-Grip for my camera.

Since Dale Jr changed NASCAR teams my wife was very easy to shop for. I found everything she had that had an 8 on it and duplicated it with gear with an 88 on it. Coat, 2 long sleeve t-shirts, 2 baseball caps, and a door mat for her from the dog and 5 cats =)

My 5 yr old made me "cookies in a jar" which basically is the flour, sugars, baking soda and chocolate chips that she put in a mason jar in her kindergarten class, put wrapping paper on the top and put the recipe on the top too.

Then she came home and we made them together! It was so sweet! (And HELLA good to a prego woman! lol)

We have having a small Christmas this year so I got Pirates of the Caribbean 3 from the hubby and kids.

    (I love the pirates series!)

My wife took me to dinner and to the Manhattan Transfer concert, it was fantastic. Great new venue we have at the Knight Center, part of the new Carnival Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. The only negative was not being able to shoot. I have a new pair of 60" umbrellas and a wireless flash trigger coming, I'm just not supposed to know about it yet Lucky for me B&H sends me the email for all deliveries to the house.

    Happy Holidays Everyone.
I purchased two theater chairs, Berkline, and they arrived on the 13th. My gf is getting me camera gear, flash, backpack, tripod, head and level. BH is great, with the "Wish List" option that they have.

I didn't ask for any photo realeated gear, but my wife did get me Photoshop CS3 Extended. If I can keep my eyes open tonight when I get home from work, I want to get it installed and start checking out some of the new features.

Still no luck with the 600mm f/4.

I have those same kind of mittens and I love them. I usually throw some of those disposable hand warmers in them too. I bought myself some camo coveralls this fall, and they are great!!
