What a difference a day makes
a day at the beech that is.

    oh that was bad.

but anyway, I love beech leaves in winter and have spent some time photographing them. Trying to anyway and I was struck at how different these shots are although they are essentially the same.

They look so fragile, yet are tough and last until spring. And they're almost the only color this time of year.

Thanks for posting these images. They are very nicely done and I enjoyed viewing them. The second image reminds me of some leaves hanging on a tree at the end of the fall season that I shot with my Canon 200mm/f4 L lens. I absolutely loved that lens - loved the bokeh. Boy, do I miss that beautiful lens!

I love the title. And - It's interesting, but the two images remind me of the past two days. The day before yesterday the temperature was 15F - and today it went to 60F. And my disposition went right along with it! What a difference a day makes!

thanks Liz. winter is so variable, but I'm at the point now where I'm craving color. The first shot was done with my legacy OM 35mm f2 lens and the second with my Zuiko Digital 12-60mm. left over beech leaves are so photogenic.
