    West Carson River
This is one of my hot-spots during the spring and summer for rainbow, brown and cut throat trout. I shot this near the small town of Markleeville. This was a tough exposure..I bracket about 20 pics and none of them turned out with the exposure how I had hoped. This one is a little dark I think, but I didn't want to loose the shadows..

Looks fine to me, I have no issue with either the lighting or the composition.

    Lovely location.

If you're looking for feedback it might be better to post this on the Photo Critique forum. That's what that forum is for.

Is Markleevile on Hwy 49 between Truckee and Downieville? If so, I love that valley. It's beautiful. And this is a very pretty scene. I wish the angle was a little higher so I could see the creek better. The sky looks a little weird to me, like you ran some blur on it or something. Did you? The whole thing looks a bit dark to me, too. If you're doing a lot of snow photos you might try out Uwe Steinmueller's Highlight Resolver Photoshop Script. I use it for the majority of my snow photos and think it works great for holding snow detail: http://www.outbackphoto.com/CONTENT_...ver/index.html
