West Carson River

This is one of my hot-spots during the spring and summer for rainbow, brown and cut throat trout. I shot this near the small town of Markleeville. This was a tough exposure..I bracket about 20 pics and none of them turned out with the exposure how I had hoped. This one is a little dark I think, but I didn't want to loose the shadows..

Is Markleevile on Hwy 49 between Truckee and Downieville? If so, I love that valley. It's beautiful. And this is a very pretty scene. I wish the angle was a little higher so I could see the creek better. The sky looks a little weird to me, like you ran some blur on it or something. Did you? The whole thing looks a bit dark to me, too. If you're doing a lot of snow photos you might try out Uwe Steinmueller's Highlight Resolver Photoshop Script.
