So that's what they look like - my friend the chef had us over recently for grilled halibut. Nice shots, too!

Beautiful shots...like Jared...I really love the rainbow...I'd love to come to AK during spring and summer...so far I've been there twice in Fairbanks...both times in winter. It was beautiful then...and could only imagine what it is like in the spring and summer...your shots only serve to wet my desire to return...hehe..

Awesome shots there. The rainbow is indeed my favourite.

Haven't seen you around much lately. Good to see you posting.

Like the others, I love the rainbow shot. That is an awesome shot my friend!!!

The mountain shot is nice too. I love the depth, the rocks in the foreground, and the mountains in the background. Nicely done.

Small halibut indeed. What do those run? 10 pounds? 15, 20? (It's all relative. A 10 pound bass is an awesome fish. A 10 pound halibut is a small one.) And those are small ones. I have a buddy who was stationed in Alaska and went fishing with his dad. His dad caught an 80 pounder. Great eating too. :-)

Those fish were about 15 to 20 pound halibut. The largest fish caught that day was about 40 lbs. We had a beautiful day ... sunny sweatshirt weather and calm seas. The boss bought the charter for the company. About 20 of us went.

I grilled some halibut that night back at the RV park and it was amazing. :-P

Thanks for all your complments and comments. Summer is crazy busy in alaska. Totally different lifestyle then winter. My job is very busy then after work we are in the yard and garden until 11 or so because it doesn't get dark. Its hell getting the kids to sleep before midnight. But i still have to get and go to work the next morning ....... :-)

I spent nearly 6 years in Minot, North Dakota, and the sun didn't set there until 10 pm. It's definitely different than life in the south (I was born and raised in North Carolina). Hard to get the kids to go to bed when the sun is still shining.

Glad to hear you had such a great day. :-)
