Some nature.
Okay, all slow-sinc gags and "tripping out" jokes aside, it was a really fun time. Everyone that knows me knows I'm straight-laced as they come. I got to relax and be in nature for a couple of days, which was much appreciated after several 7-day workweeks in a row. Here's a few of the natural side of the park we were in: The Cove, VA.

And remember: only users lose drugs! :p LOL

1,2 &3) Scenes from a mountain hike I did
4.) An abandoned saw mill I found in the forest.

Your hippie shots were a bit much for me. I guess I don't appreciate slow-sinc. :-O
Actually, I thought you got some pretty cool effects from your Coolpix.

I liked your hike photo's. Great scenics there my friend! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Straight-laced? I didn't think that from your posts. :-) These are pretty cool, kind of psychedelic 60's look to the first bunch. I've never tried slow-sync flash...interesting effects, Rick.

Yup!
I'm the only guy I know who never smoked anything, including cigarettes, banana peels, or whatever else you folks did in the 60's :) Drank for a while before and into college but since then I've been dry for .... about 7 years... wow, how time flies. Eh, I figure, who needs alcohol/drugs/excuses when you can just open up and have fun whenever you want to for no good reason than... because :)

Thanks for the replies, Ch and Speed!

I'll post some slow-sync flash shots of me sitting around my apartment being bored next time :p

Wheres the Tylenol...?
I think I feel a hangover coming on ;) These are great! I love them!
Your Hippie fest and nature ones. Two totally different subjects, awesome takes.

I really like the saw, and the shots with the band/mannequin. Very artsy.

without buyng them or getting arrested for them - or that flashbacks 20 years later! Rock on! <LOL>

More seriously - I was wondering where you've been. GREAT stuff - The band shots rock. Have you sent any of the shots to them? Bet you could sell them a few....

Hey Megs
I think I'll probably get a few posted on the website for this festival. Also, the band that started the whole thing said they'd post mine up if I had any keepers. Thanks for the encouragement!

Great!
BTW, when you were on LI with your Mom, did you end up going out to the wineries on LI? Reg and I drove through there on the way to Shelter Island this weekend, and it's absolutely AMAZING!!! I was wondering if you were able to partake of the area. If not - I recommend it!
