Weekend fun...

Beautiful weather had me out, lugging 3 cameras around, feeling like a kid with new toys(toys aren't new, but my head is on straight for the first time in awhile). I've found that Fuji Reala scans really well.
#1 - Cutie concentrating on piece of lemon from her lemonade. Leica M6 90/2.8 Reala
#2 - Street fair. F5 80-200/2.8 Reala
#3 - Street fair F5 80-200/2.8 Reala
#4 - Philly under glass, taken outside a downtown tourist souvenir shop. Contax G2 45/2 Reala. Thanks for viewing. :-)

Number 2 is a killer Charles! The eyes have it! Number three is there sans the head in the background (the girl on the right's look makes the image to me)

How's the F5 handle for street shooting? A tad large with an 80-200 attached to it, yes? :) Nice to see some film from ya.

Thanks, Rick. The F5 w/ 80-200 attached is definitely not a street shooting combo. Besides being heavy, people look your way when you pull the gear out of the bag, and assume you are either a pro or are carrying a weapon of some sort. Hard to get candids that way. :-)

Your people photos are soooo good. I like all of these.

As for scanning, I don't know how "you film people" ;) do it. I hate scanning, not only because it takes time, but mainly because the result is never as good as the print. Granted, I have a modest scanner, but since I shoot digital 99% of the time, that isn't going to change.

Thanks, Spike ... since I've returned to film exclusively, I've found that some films scan better than others, Reala being one that produces great scans without me doing a thing with pre-sets, etc. It's also good right out of the camera, so these shots posted had virtually nothing done to them except for some slight cropping. I don't do well with Tri-X, having to take that to the lab for CDs, but the Delta line, 100-400-3200 scans well. NPH, my favorite color print film comes out a bit grainy from my scanner, but I run it through NeatImage. Thanks for the comments.

Some great expressions in number 3 - the tongue in cheek concentration of the clown, the apprehension in the girls face and the delight of the girl in the background.
