Wedding Photography

I've gain a lot of interest in wedding photography over the past 6 months. I haven't embarked on this journey yet, but I'm close to getting started. Does anyone have any advice? What should I look out for? I've read several books, and I've looked at many websites. Any other advice?

who shoots a wedding a weekend just about...suggested if it's something I'm interested in pursuing...that I find some local wedding photographers and offer my services as a "shooting" assistant. You get the experience of working with a seasoned photog and get some experince shooting as well...

I've decided weddings are NOT my thing...I will do the ones I have booked this fall and that's it...
