    photography is not a crime...

whenever i'm in the car or listening to my ipod, i've been hearing a lot of people being harassed because they have a DSLR and people are being worried. I roughly know my rights as a photographer and stuff. Anyways...does anyone know if it even exist regarding "photography is not a crime" shirt. It would be a great gift for myself and a friend of mine too. I would appreciate the help.
    Lightroom is my Darkroom...Hahaa.

Phil, the second shirt gives the message but the first one looks like it says no photography. The third is ok if one is interested in aviation photography.
I wonder if there are any more out there..personally I'd prefer a hat.

Doesn't hurt to have a copy of Photographers Rights in your camera bag either - rent a cops love harassing photographers.

Cafepress.com is just a site where users can upload whatever images they want or select from stock or images already created by other users to have printed on whatever products cafepress.com sells. I agree w/ you that the camera w/ the circle around it and line through it looks like a no photography, but I believe that is what they are going for, I've seen skateboards where that w/ the similar logo for no skateboarding and then the "skateboarding is not a crime".

Here's the link for making your own hat: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/customize/designer.aspx

Hey! That's kind of neat. Can even put images on them.

Re: photography is not a crime...

LOL, this thread reminded me of a situation not long ago where we did a little test of the "rules" about taking photos of a certain location,
Photographer #1: an older male wearing a high priced suit and a P&S camera
Photographer #2: me, blue jeans, long hair, rough looking, with my MKII N & a couple big lenses

Guess who got harrassed? lol, it wasn't me! While security was hassling the man with the money he says "you aren't stopping him" to which one of the security morons says "yeah, because he's a pro, you ain't",

Ok, now they are profiling photographers by their gear. You should have seen the looks on the faces of those security chumps when the guy in the suit pulled his badge out though..... talk about jaws dropping! The photo would have been priceless with their looks but I couldn't get one as I was too close with a 400mm.... which if those clowns had a clue they would have known that, heck all I could have done was take photos into the building, not of the building with that lens!

Basically it proved a point that if you look professional you'll have fewer issues with security no matter where you shoot, and a shirt or hat won't change that fact.
